My name's Larry. I live outside Atlanta. It's been about 20 years since I started playing guitar. In early 2001, I took on a new hobby: scuba diving. In the summer of 2001, I completed the Advanced Open Water Certification course from PADI. I graduated in December 2001 from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Communications (Media Studies) to prepare for a career as a digital video editor. However, the degree I earned at KSU got me 2 things: Jack & Shit. So, I'll be attending the Art Institute of Atlanta beginning in October. There, I'll be concentrating solely on my field of expertise. At least the Art Institute has decent job-placement.
So why did I choose www.LarryTheGeek.com ? I chose this domain for a few reasons. First, I *am* a computer geek. Second, I wanted a domain name that was easy to remember. Thirdly, I also wanted the words in said domain to be nearly impossible to mistake for other words or abbreviations. For example, I was thinking of draxeman.com *BUT* "dr" could easily be mistaken for "doctor" and "axeman" could also be spelled "axman." That brings me to my next reason: I didn't want a domain that I would have to spell out to anyone. If you can't spell "Larry The Geek" you don't need to be on the Internet anyway. Go back to school (preferably not a government school). Finally, my full name, and even shorter versions have already been snatched up by cybersquatters (which sucks but what can you do?).
